LA, Day 6/6: Pmw ne

Note: Nov. 17-22 = first long trip to LA & first visit to Grantland. Like my beef with tweeting during concerts and other fun events, blogging will decrease as to maximize living in moment and experiencing all that is Los Angeles, California. For once, more photos and less words.

Ended LA like I started.

First nametag said “Bembert”

The last one… even worse:

“Pmw ne”

I would say the keyboard is messed up, but look at the accuracy of the first name.

I think the lady was just beefing with me. It happens.

“Pmw ne”. Unreal. Bye LA.

Last full day in LA

As much as I need to finish this article about the 1987 LA Lakers, I can’t stop watching this commercial that only 3+ million people have seen.

Nothing beats this. Nothing.

LA, Day 4/6: On Los Angeles

I like LA so far. Especially during the morning. I saw a lot of morning because I never adjusted to the West Coast time. It’s also great during the day. Wearing a t-shirt to work is pretty awesome. The early evening isn’t to shabby either. Very relaxed for the most part.

Many a time during the week I thought to myself, “Man, I could easily move here one day. Like, real soon”. Then the weekend happened and that whole 9pm-2am thing on Fridays and Saturdays took place. It wasn’t that I didn’t have a great time; both nights I was with people I really liked. I just noticed I didn’t have the slightest clue on how to properly do LA at night. I left both nights thinking, “I have no idea what I’m doing. Take me back to NYC where my party shorts, worn down t-shirts, off-the-rack blazers, and Mighty Ducks 2 snapbacks merit some respect.”

If there were a way to transport to New York City for those times, I’d definitely be into that. Yeah. 100%. With that said, nothing but love for the City of Angels. Except for that small amount of hate.

I have always been a huge fan of the Kangs.

After Saturday afternoon, however, as someone who now lacks a hockey team, I might start becoming a fan of the Kings.

Good seats, sick jerseys, and a puck almost falling in your lap didn’t hurt either.

*******

What can you take from your hotel room?

I’m hoping robes are a yes, but I’m guessing no.

Lotion, definitely. Bed, still up in the air.

As for these… even if I can’t, I am:

This isn’t to show off the slippers. This photo is evidence that my ankles can, in fact, unash themselves.

Security Guard: What’s your name?
Me: Rembert Browne. Browne, with an “E” at the end.
Security Guard: Thanks man, one second:

Bembert.

Sigh.

I said I wasn’t going to just repost Grantland stuff, but this is different.

This is Federer.

And more importantly, if you don’t like Novak, read this immediately.
